That and she's been so bored lately without Shirou slaving around her apartment that she has to make an attempt to reach out to others one way or the other. ]

There was a website launched a few decades back where people would post a photo of themselves on the Internet.
Actually there were a number of sites of that nature, but the purpose of this one was different !!
People would vote on a scale of 1 to 10 on how HOT they were based on the photo chosen.
So if you've got the balls, you should post a pic and have people vote !!
BTW since I'm such a cool person, I made it so you could reply to people who vote.
I guess you could also post anonymously if you're afraid of the repercussions, but I'll know who you are ♡

Ahh, same here... I've never ventured too far from my hometown so to be in an entirely different world - it's odd! And I miss the people back home....

But for what it's worth, there's a lot of really fun new things here too! This world is really vast - if you ever want to explore it with me, then just say the word and we can go together!!

[She can't help but laugh a little at his suggestion. He was being so sweet, how could she refuse? Though this is definitely a rarity that a guy would ask her to go anywhere with him. Next to beauties like Megumi she didn't stand out all that much. This was probably not that sort of request but it still makes her feel happy that he asked her to join him sometime.]

Back home... my brothers are waiting for me! [Even if the last thing he remembers of them - aside from Soramaru briefly coming to this world - is their crying faces.] They're rebellious, you know, as kids are... but I can't wait to go back to them. I miss them more and more everyday.

Oh, I don't doubt it! Maybe we could then... if it wouldn't be too much trouble? I can just take an afternoon away from training the students. I'm sure they'll want the break and maybe they can spend time with Sousei-san instead working on their swordsmanship.

[She gives a start of surprise, feeling only slightly guilty for bringing up family. It was a personal question and yet he chose to answer it.]

[He's definitely a sweet man so she can only imagine what sort of brother he is.]

I was caring for a young boy back home - he wasn't a relative of mine, but he was an orphan. I lost both of my parents when I was young myself so it didn't sit right with me not to take him in.

Sure thing, Kaoru-chan! Any time you want. I work night shifts so I'm okay with heading out whenever during the day. You should give Sousei more work to do anyway.... I'm sure he'd appreciate being busy.

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that - but I'm sure he appreciates it. My folks passed away when I was younger too and I've taken care of my brothers since then... they were about 6 and maybe just a year old at the time. I was 13, so... I get it. You're a really kind person to bring him in. I'm sure he's happy.

[Sorry she's still stuck on the sad story. But she tries her best to smile, wondering just what sort of people his brothers were.]

I hope so! Though sometimes he can be a bad kid.

[She pulls a face, hearing echoes of his voice chorusing name calling in his stupid voice in her head.]

He- not that he gets into trouble anymore! He's just a brat at times.

[Yes, that is definitely one way to put it though conveniently she neglects to mention she too can be rather childish when it comes to him. Kenshin has his hands full.]

[Tenka just laughs at that, shaking his head.] Nah, I get it!

Soramaru's so mean to me sometimes! You do all that you can to keep them safe and then sometimes they just ignore you and go look for trouble on their own - the nerve, right? He even asked Sousei for help with his training instead of coming to me!

That kid....

[ . . . . and he laughs, amused.]

But you love them anyway, right? That's just what happens.

I'm sure he had his own reasons.

[She's smiling too, readily agreeing that kids were kind of a handful.]

Sousei-san is a capable person, after all. I'm sure he trusted him as much as you might yourself.

[ . . . well, Soramaru did meet Sousei kind of suddenly and then decide he wanted to be trained by the guy. Is that trust? Tenka hums thoughtfully at that before just laughing and shaking his head.]

Can't say. Sometimes Soramaru's impulsive too...

[ . . . but well, he's seen the effects of their relationship on Sousei. It's something that warms his heart. So he just smiles anyway.]

But it's good for them both, in the end. It's like long lost family meeting again.

Oh. I would imagine it feels that way, given how long you've known each other. I can't say I've had a friend that long myself, but there are important people close to me. It's nice, isn't it? To be able to become close enough to be family.

[She will always think of Kenshin, Yahiko, Megumi, and Sanosuke as family. They were all so important to her that it was hard knowing that only Kenshin and herself remained.]

[Tenka laughs at that before nodding in agreement-]

I think anyone can become family if you're willing to open your heart to them. It doesn't take much more than that.
